Work Weekend at Leisure Lake Park

Work weekends are the first weekend of each month.  Leisure Lake Park is a membership owned park and we depend on the members to perform certain activities (i.e. cutting the grass, cleaning the comfort stations, flowerbed upkeep, etc..) to keep the park in top quality condition. 

We also understand that some members physically can not do the work that is needed, but suggest that these members participate in the lunch that is served to working members.  Members can bring a covered dish that will be enjoyed at approximately 1:00 PM each work weekend.

Jobs to be worked on starting on March 7, 2009 are:
Work on Restrooms in Club House 
Entrance to campground needs work.- Completed
Install new Blower Pump in sewer Plant - Completed
Well House - Build New & Insulate. Completed 
Clean Creek
Refurbish miniature golf course - The improvement of the put put course is going to be a priority next year and over the winter. Two people have volunteered to do work on the course.  Also we will be putting an out building to store and distribute the clubs and balls near the course.  Kent will be introducing an "adopt a hole" program at the meeting on October 11th.  Basically I will be looking for and volunteering the "tiki bar" group to build a removable obstacle for a hole on the course.  So I am in hope that at least 8 more members or groups of members will adopt a hole.  It is a great winter project.  Maybe next year we could expand the course to 18 holes and light it if the membership is interested in it.  If you would like to volunteer to help on this project, or any of the projects, send Kent (Vice President) an email at: ktompk1472@leisurelakepark.com

   There is a long list of items that need to be completed at the park.  We only had a small portion of the membership show for the last work weekend.  However, these members worked very hard and accomplished a great deal of the items that needed immediate attention.  

Although the list above is not all inclusive, it is a good indication that the weekend will be busy for many of the members.  The Board of Directors thanks each and every one of the members who use their weekend to work around the park or donated a dish to be enjoyed by the workers at lunch.
